A. Follow the instructions below to reset your network settings:

IPHONE
Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

ANDROID
  1. From the Home screen, navigate: Apps icon > Settings > Backup and reset.
  2. Tap Reset network settings.
  3. Tap RESET SETTINGS.
A. This means that your sim card has not been inserted correctly or you are trying to use the wrong size sim card in your phone. Ensure that you have got the right size sim card for your handset and that check your phone manufacturers instructions on inserting your sim card correctly.
A. If your phone is showing 'Network Registration Failed' it can mean a few things:
  1. If you have just been connected and your old service providers SIM has stopped working, simply turn your phone off and on to fix this issue.
  2. The handset may be locked to Telstra or Vodafone and you will need to get your phone unlocked by them for it to work on the Optus Network. You can confirm if your phone is locked to another network by putting your new Real Sim SIM in a phone that you know is not locked to Telstra or Vodafone in this case you will have to contact them to get your unlock code depending on when you purchased this handset initially there could be charges involved.
A. If your phone is showing SOS Only it can mean a few things:
  1. If you have just been connected and your old service providers SIM has stopped working, simply turn your phone off and on to fix this issue.
  2. The handset may be locked to Telstra or Vodafone and you will need to get your phone unlocked by them for it to work on the Optus Network. A. A PUK code or 'Personal Unlocking Code' is a security feature on mobile devices that protects your SIM card data. The PUK code is unique to your SIM card and is required when a SIM card pin code has been entered incorrectly several times. To access your PUK code, please submit a ticket on our website or contact our friendly customer service team.

Once you have received your PUK code, here's a guide on what to do:
  1. Enter the PUK code into your device
  2. Enter a new PIN into your device
  3. Verify your new PIN
  4. Your device should now be unlocked
Important! If you incorrectly enter your PUK code 3 times, your SIM card will be automatically wiped and will need to be replaced.
A. An isolation test is a handy way to determine the cause of an issue. To perform an isolation test simply remove the SIM card from your handset and insert it into another handset. If the issue persists on the second handset then your SIM card is at fault, but if your issue has been resolved by swapping the SIM to another handset then it is likely that your original handset is to blame for the issue.

A. By default, the ring time of your mobile phone is set to 15 seconds. You can change the length of the ring tone by entering this code from your mobile phone and pressing send/call button.

The code is **61*321**30# where 30 is the number of seconds your phone rings for.
A. The Optus Voicemail number is 321. To set up your voicemail dial 321 from the handset and listen to the prompts.
A. You can cancel your Voicemail and Missed Call service by simply cancelling all diversions so your phone will just ring out. Simply enter this code into your mobile phone and press the send/call button.
